Panchmel Dal is a traditional Rajasthani Dal made from a mixture of five lentils. It is healthy protein rich recipe that is quick and easy to make.

Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Channa Dal
- 1/4 cup Yellow Moong Dal
- 1/4 cup Urad Dal
- 1/4 cup Toovar Dal
- 1/4 cup Masoor Dal
- 1 Large tomato
- 1 Large Onion
- 4 Green Chillies
- 1 inch Ginger Piece
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Jeera
- 2 Cloves
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Dhana Jeera Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Pressure cook all the mix dals with three times water in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
- In a mixer make a paste of tomato,onion,green chillies and ginger.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add Jeera and cloves to it.
- Add the tomato mixture to it and allow to cook.
- Add the cooked Dal, garam masala and spices and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Finally add coriander.
- Serve hot with Baati.
