Handvo Flour Recipe



Handvo Flour is a basic requirement for making a Handvo. This flour is a coarse mixture of rice and lentils mixed in right proportions.

Total time: 30 minutes
Yield: 10 cups

Ingredients

  •     2 kg Jeerasar Rice
  •     500 gm Chana Dal

Cooking Directions
  1. Mix the two grains and grind coarsely in a flour mill grinder.
  2. Store in an air tight container. Has a shelf life of 3 months.

Note: You can also substitute Chana Dal with combination of mixed dals like Urad Dal,Toovar Dal,Chana Dal and Mung Dal  to create a more nutritious flour. You can also slightly roast the dals before grinding. This gives a better flavor to the flour.
